The Montmartre Cemetery in the 18th arrondissement of Paris is the second largest operating cemetery of the French capital. There are also the painter Gustave Moreau and Horace Vernet, one of the first artists to live in Montmartre in the early 19th century. It is also suggested to wear hiking shoes and to bring your camera: it's a large cemetery, so a lot of walking is involved. Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm – Saturday: 8.30am to 6pm
